Acne Sucks!!! But there is a WAY OUT!

by Nas

Basically , I have always suffered with acne since I was about 12. I am now 19 and I have found that the best things for me is natural ingredients to help with my face. Store bought products tend to make acne scars darker, dryness, and plain and simple might just not work! This is one of my recipes that I found really helpful.

Okay so first,

1. Take a handful of oatmeal and put it into a bowl.
2. Add some lemon juice (from a real lemon!! freshly squeezed is key!). It helps lighten scars caused by acne.
3. Add a couple spoonfuls of water
4. An egg white to draw out impurities (no YOLK!)
5. Mix and the you are good to go!

It does wonders if you apply it 2-3 times a week. Good LUCK!

Can I use this along with an other exfoliator or should I wait till next week when I stop using the exfoliator? Exfoliator: honey, sugar, lemon juice.

Please let me know. Thanks.

You can alternate the days. Check out more info on skin care routine.

I know you wash it off...lol...but how long do you leave it on for???

10-15 minutes is sufficient.

I have a question...
by: lizzie

Do you leave this on the skin like a cream or wash it off like a cleanser??? I'm new at this :)

Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water.

Oatmeal cooked or not?
by: Jen

This is definitely showing my ignorance but I wanted to double check - is the oatmeal cooked or not?

Jen, your question is fine :) I assume she is talking about uncooked.
