Back Acne

How do I treat cystic back acne without taking tablets? My skin is extremely oily - how do I control oil and is the oil the reason for the back acne? I do not have acne on my face just my back; it is horrible and embarrassing I do not even want to turn on the light or undress in front of my partner not to mention cant wear singlet tops or anything showing back or shoulders. What can I do?
