Bare Minerals Disappointment

I purchased the Bare Minerals makeup and was disappointed. The product goes on smooth and feels good, but the coverage was not what they advertised. Being middle aged, I need more coverage, but like most women, don't want it to show. The color was great for the foundation and blush. I would recommend this product for younger women. If they could give more coverage, I would buy the product again just because it feels so light and smooth on the face.

I was introduced to GloMinerals at a job I started working at, and I have problems with acne. After using GloMinerals it has maintained my skin without causing any further breakouts and has definetly improved the appearance of my skin, and it covers so well. I only use the pressbase powder because it covers so well, I don't even need a foundation. The comforting thing about the line is that you can only purchase it from estheticians, plastic surgeons, or dermatologists. You cannot get it over the counter or off a television add! That alone speaks for itself! It's 100% mineral based and I can really tell! It's awesome..if you have any questions I fully support it and know a lot about it so I'd love to answer any questions!

I too purchased the starter kit bare minerals. I informed the esthetician I had very splotchy skin from overexposure to sun.

I grew up by the beach and was in the sun constantly every day using no sunscreen.

I am 52 years old and the esthetician told me not to worry It would provide great coverage and you wouldn't even see the splotchiness of my skin.

Well I'm here to tell you it did not work. I'm hoping maybe this may save someone some money. I believe it cost me $60.00 that was basically a waste of money.

Hint: Try Mac makeup. That is the only foundation that truly covers absolutely beautiful.

I'm 55 years old, with Acne Rosacea for the last 10 years. My skin has always been hyper-sensitive to any product I applied to my face, causing breakouts even when they proported to be non-comedogenic. I have spent many years along with many dollars in search of anything that my skin would tolerate. Then I tried Bare Minerals... it was the answer to my life's search. It's lightweight, and I find it has very good coverage. I sometimes apply a light layer of Mineral Veil powder before applying the foundation - which enhances the coverage and helps keep my face matte. Best of all, this brand doesn't break me out - in fact, it seems to help heal blemishes. There is a learning curve to applying it, it takes some time and practice to get it right, but, it's well worth the time and effort. I would highly recommend this brand to anyone who has problem skin...
