No, you DON'T want to use food colors when preparing any of the skin recipes. What you do have to look for is a cosmetic grade colorant (referred to as oxides). You might be able to find them at a better natural skin care shop or find them online (just type in "cosmetic grade colorant" or "oxides" and order them online).
