Facial mask recipe - The blemish mask

The blemish mask doesn't provide magical effects. However, it helps the skin enormously by reducing the discoloration.

Excess skin oil clogs up the pore and the skin reacts with redness and infection. Clogged pores are the main reason skin is prone to infections that result in acne, pimples and whiteheads which in effect cause skin discoloration also known as the blemish.

There are many store bought products for blemishes, however, the natural way is always the best. Here are a couple of examples of the blemish mask that you can prepare at home:

Homemade face mask for blemished skin

Take a chopped tomato, 1 tbsp of instant oatmeal, 1 tbsp lemon juice.
Blend all ingredients just until combined.
Apply to skin, making sure the mixture is thick enough to stay on blemished areas.
Add a bit more oatmeal to thicken the mask.
Leave on 10 mins. Wash with warm water.

Another mask is good as well:

Strawberry blemish mask

Ingredients

A handful of strawberries
A teaspoon of heavy cream.

Preparation

Using a blender, mash the strawberries first.
Add heavy cream to it until the mass is consistent.
Apply it on the face and neck and leave on for 10-15 minutes.
Using a wash cloth, remove the mass and then wash the face well with cold water.

Strawberries are a strong antiseptic. They have Vitamin C in them as well as folic acid. Strawberries thoroughly cleanse the skin and remove excess oil and impurities.
