Cuticle care - essential oils used for moisturizing and cuticle treatment

Cuticles play a major role in protecting our nails from external influences. They present a barrier to infections that are easily spread on nails and skin that surrounds them.Taking good care of them stands as a base of proper nail care.

Dipping fingers in warm water for a few minutes greatly reduces the effort of pushing them back.

They should not be cut using scissors or a cuticle remover. They should be pushed back, always, using a wash cloth. Only the excess skin should be cut.

Essential oils cuticle care

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of jojoba oil
  • 2 tablespoons of almond oil
  • 2 teaspoons of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of Vitamin E oil or 3-4 vitamin E capsules (broken open)

Preparation

  • Combine all the ingredients
  • Before applying this treatment, soak nails in warm water for 10 minutes. Pat dry
  • Apply the mix on your hands, concentrating on the nails and cuticles

This recipe can be used every time you wash your hands or take a shower.

It yields 4 hand treatments.

It is an excellent way to do two things at the same time: the essential oils used in it strengthen the nails and honey serves to moisturize the cuticles.
