I have dark spots post pregnancy on my head. I was having a fair face but now I'm getting dark though I don't go out in the sun. My face is getting pigmentation and it is getting dark. I'm 40yrs now. Please help!
Hi Sabiha,
One recipe comes to mind that might help with discoloration.
Home facial (Facial Refresher)
Ingredients
1 cup old fashioned oats
½ cup coarse salt (we use Dead Sea salt if possible)
¼ cup raw sugar (can use ordinary cane sugar)
a few drops almond oil (optional)
1000 mg natural vitamin C (crush the tablets to powder).
Preparation
Process the oats in the food processor until partially broken down-you do not want a powder, just smaller pieces.
Add the salt, sugar, crushed vitamin C and process just to blend.
Sprinkle the almond extract over the meal and process again briefly to mix.
Store the scrub in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
To use: take a handful of the mixture, about 2 tablespoons, and add enough water to make a paste.
You will want to wash your face before starting in the usual way and leave it wet.
Apply the paste to your face but avoid the delicate areas very close to your eyes and then use small circular motions to scrub away and exfoliate the skin.
When the entire area has been massaged, let this rest on the skin for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Unless you have extremely oily skin, you will want to apply a moisturizer next.
This recipe contains oats that will act as an abrasive; they will remove dead skin cells. Then, Vitamin C can help deal with discoloration; it also helps with production of collagen which will boost your skin's glow and make it appear rejuvenated.
I hope this helps a bit,
