Our readers' tips - Dry and sensitive skin mask

Palak sent us a wonderful dry and sensitive skin mask that contains one of the best ingredients around: glycerin.

Glycerin is a by-product of soap making and is used when we don't want to use oil, it does not leave any greasy residue on the skin. What it does is that it traps moisture and locks it in, which makes it perfect for use in dry/sensitive skin recipes.

However, I would like to point out one thing:

Before using this recipe, make sure you do a patch test and make sure your skin doesn't react to it and has the necessary tolerance to it. This is a must since this mask requires you to leave it on for 2 hours. I would say, even if you do have tolerance to glycerin, do not keep it on longer than 10 to 15 minutes.

Here's the mask:

Dry and sensitive skin mask

Mix equal quantities of lemon juice, rosewater and glycerin.

This mixture can be stored in a cool atmosphere or in the fridge.

Apply every day for 2 hours when home or apply overnight.

Regular usage gives a smooth, supple and spotless skin.

Thanks Palak!
