An efficient way to moisturize dry skin around eyes

"Eyes are the windows to the soul.", they say. And they are right. Dry skin around the eyes is one of the major causes of the tired look on our faces as we go through the day. Dry skin emphasizes the crow’s feet and eyes encircled with wrinkles more than anything else.

When preparing recipes for dry skin around the eyes be careful not to touch the eyes themselves, as they are prone to irritation.

If that does happen, make sure you rinse them well with water immediately.
Cucumber eye toner

Cucumber is used as an astringent in a hydrating facial mask, closing the opened pores and toning the skin, but is also a great ingredient that helps refresh the face in minutes. It tones the skin around the eyes, reducing the appearance of fine lines.

It is also the most commonly used ingredient in homemade skin care when you want to use it as way to get rid of the begs under the eyes and the overall puffiness of the face and eyes.

Ingredients

½ cucumber cut into chunks (don’t seed or peel)
3 tablespoons of which hazel

Preparation

Blend the cucumber using food processor until the mass is pureed. Strain it using gauze until you only have juice left. Mix the juice with witch hazel.

Dip cotton balls in this liquid and gently wiping around the eyes.

When stored in a glass jar and refrigerated, this toner can be used for a few days.

Dry skin around the eyes moisturizer

Ingredients

2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel
1 tablespoon of sesame oil.

Preparation

Combine the gel with the oil and whisk until the ingredients are well combined. Apply this mixture gently around the eyes.

Store in a glass jar and keep it in a dry and cool place. Before using it, shake the jar well.

This recipe yields 1 ounce.

Aloe vera is a light moisturizer that is easily absorbed by the skin. Sesame oil adds the anti-inflammatory quality to this moisturizer.
