I saw you mentioned face exercises a few times on your site. Why are face exercises good for the face and how long until I see the results?
Hi Janet,
Face exercises offer several benefits. The main one is an increase in facial muscle size, which provides a nice lift and fullness to the face -- in ways that plastic surgery never could.
In addition, when muscles are contracted the supply of blood to that area is ten times greater than normal, which brings more oxygen and nutrients to skin. Handling the face also helps to stimulate collagen and elastin production.
Depending on how old you are and how much sagging you currently have, slight results can be seen in a few weeks, but dramatic results are noticeable in 6 -12 months. You can also feel the results, sometimes before you really notice them. Your face will feel firmer and there is much less skin play.
And if you should stop for a while, like I did, you will start to lose tone, but muscles have memory so it takes much less time to get back to where you were.
