Before I introduce you to some of my favorite foot care recipes, here's a fun fact: an average person will have walked 115,000 miles in their lifetime. That is a lot! With all those miles, our feet suffer a lot of wear and tear throughout the years.
It is worth spending some time in preparation of natural, homemade foot care recipes during the winter so the summers can be spent in maintaining wonderful, soft feet instead of trying to repair the damage. Although emphasis here is on the winter months, it is a good idea to continually give your feet some attention.
The great thing about these recipes is that they go a long way. You only need a couple of minutes to prepare some of them, foot soak or foot scrub recipes for example. The ingredients are those found elsewhere in skin care recipes preparation; simple ingredients such as essential oils, sugar, sea salt... all of them easily found and affordable.
For best results, it is best to stick to a certain order when applying these recipes. The first one is a foot soak, also known as foot bath, which softens the skin making it easier to scrub off dead skin cells. It prepares the feet for a foot scrub. Not only that, they are a great pampering experience. You can adjust the essential oils for the effect you want: relaxation, energy, etc. and enjoy yourself while your feet get a royal treatment.
Make it a point to apply a good cream or moisturizer on them every night. For best results, slather as much as you want and put socks on. Leaving them overnight will do wonders for your feet.
They are vulnerable to all kinds of conditions and infections. Anything from Athlete's foot, wart and foot corn can affect them but the good thing, these can be treated with natural, safe skin remedies.

Ways to treat dry and tired feet.
