Cinnamon hand soak

I have posted a hand soak recipe before that targets brittle nails, but the following hand care recipe also contains milk. Milk contains Vitamins A and E which leave the skin smooth and wonderfully soft so I can see how this recipe, with a combination of olive oil and milk, can be great for hands. Also, cinnamon, an antiseptic agents adds much needed protection against infections.

Here's a recipe from our reader Kristina:

Cinnamon Hand Soak

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • pinch cinnamon (or any other spice for scent)
  • Preparation

Mix all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl large enough to fit both of your hands. Put the bowl in the microwave for 20 seconds, or until the mixture is quite warm, but still comfortable to touch. Soak your hands in the mixture for 10 minutes. When you are done soaking, take your hands out, rinse them briefly with lukewarm water, and pat dry. Add your favorite moisturizer if desired.

    Thanks Kristina!
