Hi,
Do you have any ideas on how to make homemade cuticle cream? My cuticles are rough and overgrown. No matter what I do with them, they continue to peel making my hands look awful.
Thanks,
Marianne
Hi Marianne,
You can check out general advice on nail care on this site as well as some recipes for cuticle care.
To answer your question, here is a quick recipe for homemade cuticle cream:
• 2 tsp of olive oil
• 2 tsp of natural clay
• 6 drops of lavender essential oil
Mix the ingredients together to make a thick consistency. If you have any small pots of sterile ointments jars, they will make for perfect storage. To apply, massage the solution to your cuticles and nails for making it smooth again.
To be honest with you, I am often quite neglectful with my hands (no gloves, harsh chemicals). In turn, my cuticles are often dry and peeling. I tried a few cuticle creams out there but found one that helps the most, Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme. This little package can last me up to 2 months and I "try" and remember to apply it every day.
Hope this helps,
