How to Wax Your Legs

Things You’ll Need:
Sugar
Lemon juice
Cloth strips (like muslin or leftover material that is a little stiff)
Stove
Sauce pan
A Popsicle stick or ice cream scoop (the wood disposable ones)
Step1 - In the saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of water.
Step2 - Heat the mix in the pan to a boil (you can see bubbles in it). Let it boil for 8-15 minutes. If you've ever made candy, you want it to get to the "soft ball" stage. You can test this by dropping a bit of the sugar mix into a cup of cool water. If it feels like a gummy ball in the water, then you're at the right stage.
Step3 - Pour the mix into a disposable container and allow it to cool. You must be careful not to use it when it's too hot! If it gets too cool, you can always use the microwave to soften it again.
Step4 - While the mix is cooling, cut your fabric into strips. Ideally, you should cut them about 2 inches wide and 4 inches long (but there's no need to measure them precisely!).
Step5 - Using the spatula, spread the mix on your skin long ways from your knee down towards your foot and use a bit of pressure to lay the mix flat on an area about the size of the cloth strips. While it's still hot, push a strip of fabric on top of the wax.
Step6 - Take a deep breath. Grasp the end of the strip (nearer to your foot) and quickly and firmly pull up towards your knee (don't pull straight up towards the ceiling).
Step7 - Repeat this step all over your legs. Finish your treatment by rinsing your legs to remove any excess "wax" and put some soothing lotion on.
