Ingrown hair removal

If you are experiencing ingrown hair on any area of the body or face, ingrown hair removal should be something to practice every time they appear. This problem can be irritating and painful if the spot gets infected, so why not try and get ahead of the problem by applying some of the tips to help you in ingrown hair prevention.

Now, one thing to keep in mind before you try any ingrown hair remedy or ingrown hair treatment: don't exfoliate the skin after you have noticed an ingrown hair. It will only irritate the skin and worsen the problem. As I have mentioned, it is best used as a prevention of ingrown hair.

Before you decide to proceede with ingrown hair removal, make sure you have prevented any possible infections. Let the hair grow longer. This will create a bump on the skin and eventually dry out the layer that directly covers the damaged follicle. Then, the hair is ready for removal.

When you decide to remove the ingrown hair, wash your hands thoroughly or use one of the hand sanitizers available on the market.

Get a pair of sharp, needle-nosed tweezers that you are going to disinfect by applying some alcohol on them.

Clean off the spot with an alcohol pad or a cotton ball dipped in alcohol.

Pinch the skin using your thumb and your index finger and insert the tweezer into the bump. Be gentle when you do this. Do this deep enough to penetrate the skin and reach the hair.

Sqeeze gently. When the hair starts appearing stop and use the dull part of tweezers to pull it out. Do this slowly, otherwise you will break the hair which means you are back at the beginning.

After you have removed the hair and the follicle, apply some alcohol on it again.

Please don't use a needle or dig too deep!

Ingrown hair treatment

If you do end up having to deal with ingrown hair, there are a few treatments you could try.

The first one is aspirin free and safe ingrown hair treatment for people allergic to aspirin. It contains alcohol that produces a bit of stingy sensation which passes quickly but makes sure the ingrown hair is disinfected. This is very important because it prevents any possible infections.

Infected ingrown hair or folliculitis is caused by blockage of the hair follicle. This is often caused by shaving. When this happens, the bacterium staphylococcus enters the skin and causes an infection.

In order to prevent this, and if you are not allergic to aspirin, you might want to try aspirin mask ingrown hair home remedy.

Aspirin contains acetyl-salicylic acid AKA Beta Hydroxy Acid able to slough off skin cells. It is a wonderful antiinflammatory agent that stops and clears out any ongoing inflammation process.

I hope some of these tips help you :)
