Here are two recipes that you can try.
Here are two different lemon body scrub recipes:
1/2 cup white or brown sugar
1 cup olive or grape seed oil
1/4 cup lemon peel.
How to combine ingredients:
Zest the lemon peel, and then add to sugar. Once that is totally mixed, add oil and mix with fork or by hand until sugar is totally saturated. Set aside for 30 minutes. Check mixture to see if sugar has separated from the oil. There should be about a 1/2 inch of oil on top of sugar. If not, add a little more oil and mix again. Put mixture in airtight container. How to use: Rub the lemon sugar scrub in a circular motion over damp skin. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
2 1/2 cups of white sugar
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
4 tablespoons of lemon juice.
How to combine ingredients:
Mix all the ingredients until you have a gritty paste. Put in a 12-ounce mason jar, or any jar with a lid that seals.
If you want to preserve your lemon sugar scrub past two months or you are giving it as a gift, add the oil of a vitamin E capsule, or some sea salt. Your lemon sugar scrub can be kept on a bathroom shelf, on the tub corner, or under the bathroom counter. It does not need to be refrigerated unless it has a dairy product as one of the ingredients.
