Lemon vs. lime in skin care recipes

Hello

This website is wonderful.
My question is in regard to lemon and lemon zest in skin and hair recipes. Can lime be substituted? I always have lime in the house.

Hi Katherine,

It is my understanding that lime is more sour than lemon, it contains more acids and that might throw the recipe off. I don't see a huge difference, maybe if you adjust the lime contents.
