Oatmeal rub

by Mary
(Ireland)

For dry skin and eczema:

Put oatmeal into a pair of old tights and tie to your bath tap. Run the hot water over the tights and leave in the bath. When the bath is full squeeze into a ball and rub all over your body. iI's mighty for any dry skin complaints.

Hi Mary,

This is such a neat tip :) Live yogurt refers to yogurt that has living bacteria in it (bacteria needed to convert milk into yogurt). They are not harmful and this yogurt, is supposedly, healthier than the heat-treated kind.

Oatmeal is a natural exfoliant and an anti-inflammatory agent that is used for treatment of sensitive and problem skin type. It is often used in preparation of scrubs as it is gentle as not to damage the skin but coarse enough to slough off dead skin cells.

Thanks for the tip,
