Hi,
My name is Kathy and I am the mother of a beautiful 8 year old little girl. She has been suffering from eczema since she was 4. But in the last month it has gotten even worse.
We went to a Dermatologist about 2 years ago. That's when she was diagnosed with Eczema. She recommended the lotion Cetaphil after her daily bath. She also prescribed Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment, which we apply to the worst spots. But now the rash is so wide spread I don't feel like I should be using that much of a steroid on such a little girl.
Also since the itch has been so bad we are trying an anti-itch lotion called SARNA - it seems to help some.
We have tried eliminating some of her favorite foods, peanut butter and oatmeal, thinking that was causing it. I just feel so helpless, and sad for my poor little girl. Can you help?
Kathy
Hi Kathy,
Thanks for your question. I'm so sorry to hear that your little one is suffering.
Did you know that up to 20% of all babies suffer from eczema. Please refer to this article for more information and make sure you discuses any natural treatments you try from this article with your doctor.
Hope this information has helped,
