Rejuvenating honey facial mask
by Carina
A fabulous pick-me-up for dull, tired looking skin. Honey draws in moisture from the air to your skin and peels away dead skin cells, and it's a natural inflammatory and antiseptic remedy.
You need:
15ml honey
A hairband
Bowl of steaming water/facial steamer/hot bath.
Preparation:
Heat the honey until slightly runny (pardon the rhyme) but not much that it will run off your skin. Be careful not to burn yourself. Remember, if the honey is too hot you will only damage your skin.
Directions:
Tie your hair away from your face (if you have long hair) and use the hairband to keep any loose strands away from your face.
Stand in front of a mirror and using your ring finger gently apply the honey to your face and neck. Avoid the eye and lip areas.
Bend over a bowl of steaming water and cover your head with a towel.
if you own a facial steamer use it instead.
For an extra-rejuvenating experience hop into a hot bubble bath and relax the day away.
After 10-20 minutes rinse off the honey with lukewarm water and pat dry.
If desired, you can finish off with a splash of rosewater and a hydrating face cream.
