Hi Nili,
Is there any home remedy I could use that is good for sensitive skin but still strong enough to make improvements on my pimples?
I have been told by the chemist that I have combination skin, however, when I used the 'gentle' cleansers for getting rid of pimples on combination skin I only ended up with sever irritation and completely dried out skin.
I started to use Clinique, which has the opposite effect and doesn't improve my pimples at all, but keeps it hydrated. I am still breaking out regularly.

Hi Kimmie,
Thanks for your question. This is a pretty common problem as many people have combination skin - dry in some areas, and oily/pimples in others.
Even though your skin is prone to breakouts, it’s still important that you use a good, yet gentle, face scrub.
Use a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil (found in drug stores) and mix a amount of baking soda and/or sugar and make a paste.
Rub this paste very lightly all over your skin where you have the most breakouts (avoid the eye area) and rinse off well.
Your skin will look and feel incredible. Try using this scrub at least 2-3 times per week to exfoliate dead skin cells and keep pores clean. This will help reduce the breakouts and exfoliate dead skin cells so the rest of your skin can absorb your moisturizer...so it's more evenly hydrated.
For a simple moisturizer try a small amount of olive oil, or coconut oil, or emu oi. And only apply to the dry areas.
