Using Kool aid hair dye on brown hair

Hi,
Can you use kool aid hair dye on brown hair, will it have have the same effect like when used on blonde hair? I want to try dyeing hair with kool aid - my hair is medium brown and I would like to try blue. Do you think it will work?

Hi Pamela,

My daughter decided she wanted to try coloring hair with kool aid but wanted red. I was not sure what this would look like since her hair is brown. I would think that using kool aid hair dye on brown hair is like using it with any hair color, you just have to make sure that it makes sense (no red on red hair :)). Since you want to use blue, I think it will look fabulous, I would love to see that.



You see in these pictures that the process can be messy but the expression on my daughter's face says it all - priceless. She opted to NOT wash out the Kool aid and kept it on for a couple of days. NOT the best idea during the summer (can you say sweating). She, however, had tons of fun and we tried it a couple of more time since then.
