Coffee Body Scrub

Coffee Body Scrub

I love this coffee body scrub! The coffee aroma wakes me up in the A.M. and my skin feels great too!

2 cups of coffee grounds
1/2 cup sea salt
2/3 tablespoon of massage oil (Any plain, cheap massage oil will do). I used Almond body oil.

Thanks Danielle for sharing this with us!

Coffee body scrub has originally gained fame as a cellulite natural remedy. There is a supposed connection between caffeine and cellulite in that caffeine is able to pull out the fluid that is found between fat cells. By doing so, it decreases the appearance of the dimpled skin leaving it even and smooth.

This is only one variation of the coffee scrub recipe. You can add olive oil to it, egg or only egg white, crack open a Vitamin E pill, or even add oatmeal, sea salt and brown sugar.

Add a few drops of eucalyptus or peppermint oil for that extra energy boost in the morning. Possibilities are endless with this recipe and you can find the one that fits you the best.

Cosmetics companies have been onto caffeine benefits for some time now so you can find pre-made scrubs containing green coffee such as Terra Nova Green Coffee & Yerba Maté Stimulating Body Scrub or get the caffeine boost from a soap, 100 % Pure Brazilian Coffee Scrub Soap with Cocoa Butter being one of the better known ones.

flavored coffee
by: kelda

I used vanilla biscotti flavored coffee its what I had to make this
Also a great tip when mixing this
put it in a big zip lock baggie to mix
I started out mixing in a bowl and stained my hands and nails so cleaned up and put it all in a zip lock bag and got it mixed up much easier and it allowed me to look at the entire mixture not just the top

silky soft skin

I use olive oil (the smaller molecules penetrate the skin more easily) and the coffee grounds I've already made coffee with. It feels great when it's still warm. Adding sea salt makes it the perfect pre-tanning scrub!
