Is olive oil good for the skin?

Is olive oil good for the skin, especially oily skin? My skin has changed since I turned thirty and what was once normal skin type, is not oily, acne prone problem. I have heard of olive oil for skin care and wanted to know if it is any good?

Thanks!

Hi Gabriela,

Olive oil is widely used because it is very affordable, first of all and then, it contains ingredients that are absolutely wonderful for skin. The one ingredient contained in it worth mentioning is Vitamin E, which is a strong anti-oxidant; it will help the skin fight off free radicals, leaving it healthy and rejuvenated.

It is also a perfect moisturizer, for any skin type really. In your case, it can also be used for oily skin because it is easily absorbed and it does not leave a greasy residue. You can see some of the simple olive oil recipes and you can also check out facial mask recipes for oily skin.

I hope this helps,
