A Word about Acne

Home Mask Treatment

Garlic Mask: Garlic is an excellent cleanser and has antibiotic properties that will help heal your skin. Avoid using too much, however, because it can cause the skin to burn and redden. To make a homemade mask using garlic, mash eight cloves of raw garlic. Apply the garlic to the face and leave in place for approximately 15 minutes. Wash the mask off with warm water and then rinse with a vinegar PH balancer.

Egg and Oatmeal Mask

Mix the following ingredients:

1 egg yolk
2 TBL oatmeal
1 TBL sea salt
1 tsp olive oil

If the mixture is a little too stiff, add a teaspoon of warm water until it is a smooth consistency that is easy to work with. Apply the mixture to your face and neck. Leave in place five minutes and then rinse with warm water.

Pimple redness can be diminished by following the above skin care suggestions. If your condition is severe, be sure and consult with a dermatologist. He or she can determine exactly what type of acne you have and how best to treat it if medication is needed.
